These sweet ribbon collier tees came in weathered stone, natural, and heather ice (from left to right) and I scooped them up for $15.99 in a sale last month. I admit, I scoffed at the prices J.Crew charged for these tees, but the sale made them more palatable--after all, these are handwash or dry clean only tees. Dry clean a t-shirt... sure, J.Crew, no prob. Though they do require more care than my usual tee, the effect with a cardigan is quite pretty and makes weekend dressing a snap--pull on tee, throw on Jackie cardigan, wiggle into skinny jeans, and presto, ready to shovel down some brunch.

Honestly, I've always thrown my "dry clean only" J Crew tees into my ancient (AHEM VINTAGE CIRCA 1980) washer and dryer with no problems. Dry clean? Pffft, never.
ReplyDeleteSo far, so good! And I love this tee- I own it in natural, and it is so lovely!
I always put mine in the washer too-they never make it into the dryer though.
ReplyDeleteI have it in natural too- love it!! it goes sooo well with the peach (definitely not the actual name jcrew gave it) chiffon trim cardi I got this summer.
I never bought these because of the whole dry-clean only look. Especially the ones with beading and embroidered who-knows-what. Good to know they can survive the wash!
