I love the look of a skinny belt, but my skills are limited to the traditional punch-through-hole, pull-through-buckle, and tick. Banana Republic did a nice tuck and look with a studded belt that I'm going to copy--I also like the mix of gold domes with the red checked shirt and cable sweater coat.
J.Crew also does a neat belt loop for their winter coats, and I would love to figure out how they tied the sash below. Any ideas?

The J.Crew sash looks like a half-bow with only one loop -- like one end was too short for a second loop, so they just pulled it through to stick out on top of the other end. Hope that makes sense. :)
