Colored Tights

It's getting cold in Chicago, which means it's time to pull out the tights. I happen to love tights and stockings and garters and all those fun bits of lingerie. It can be a search to find the right tights--I'm partial to Spanx, Falke, Wolford, and Express--but a great pair can add warmth and a stylish edge. While black is classic, colored tights can be a great look if they're paired with the right outfits. This snippet from Lucky showed off some more unusual combinations.

  1. I have a hard time with colored tights. Isn't that funny? I have no qualms wearing knee highs, but colored tights, I feel, are a bit too "young" for me.

I love them on others, though!

  2. Hi Chloe! I think you could definitely pull of colored tights--have you tried them with boots? It's a nice way to experiment without getting the WHOA I HAVE COLORED LEGS effect--I like the look of a navy skirt, dark olive tights, and brown boots.

  3. ^ Agreed. You could definitely pull them off with brown boots. *Love* the look of navy and green together.

  4. I love the purple tights! The funny thing is that when I looked at who makes them (Hue) I realized that I picked them up in L&T last week when I was buying red tights (all of the Gossip Girl is clearly getting to me...hehe). I put them back b/c I already own a pair of dark purple tights, but now I think I must own them...will pick them up next week when I'm in that area.

  5. Just an fyi if you want to try some colored tights I found some at Forever 21 for $2.50 each. I got the warm mustard color and they also have a great fuchsia.
